Fire Inspector Jami Hershey has dedicated 17 years in the Fire Service, with the last 6 years at The Broward Sheriff's Office Department of Fire Rescue and Emergency Services, exemplifying commitment and expertise in her field. Holding multiple certifications as a firefighter, EMT, and fire instructor, Jami is well-versed in various aspects of emergency services. Her extensive knowledge and skills are complemented by her educational background, having earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. As a Florida native, Jami has a deep connection to her community, which fuels her passion for her work.

In addition to her primary duties as a fire inspector, Jami plays a significant role in fostering inclusivity and representation within her department. She serves as the Secretary of the Broward Sheriff's Office's LGBTQ+ committee and acts as the LGBTQ+ Liaison, advocating for the rights and needs of LGBTQ+ personnel and community members.
