Rev. Michael Calderin is the Police/Fire Chaplain and Public Safety Operations Manager for the City of Lauderhill. In his current role, Chaplain Michael assists first responders and their families to navigate the sensitivities and challenges in being a first responder. Chaplain Michael also oversees Victim Services providing guidance, counsel and resources for all those in need of services. Chaplain Michael holds numerous certifications in the areas of mental health, peer support, addictions, victim advocacy and chaplaincy. Chaplain Michael is a Senior Chaplain and Area Representative for the International Conference of Police Chaplains and a member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains. Chaplain Michael is the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team coordinator for Broward County. Chaplain Michael also serves as the Chaplain for several first responder fraternal organizations. Overall Chaplain Michael has served 37 years in public service.
